I hold a Medical Doctor degree from Universidad Central del Ecuador and a postgraduate degree in Medical Microbiology from Universidad Federal de Ceará. Furthermore, I have attained a Master's degree in Clinical Infectious Diseases and Antibiotic Therapeutics from CEU Universidad Cardenal Herrera in Spain, as well as a Master's in Human Immunodeficiency Virus from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Spain. I am also a former fellow of the Organization of American States and the Pan American Health Organization, where I pursued advanced studies in Brazil.
My professional journey has included leadership roles as the head of Medical Microbiology at Hospital IESS Quito Sur in 2018, Hospital Gíneco Obstetrico Pediátrico "Nueva Aurora" from 2018 to 2020, Hospital Padre Carollo from 2020 to 2021, and Hospital Vozandes Quito from 2020 to 2023. Additionally, I am dedicated to education and serve as a professor of medical microbiology and infectious diseases at the Universidad Internacional SEK medical school, and I am also a professor in the Postgraduate Program in Infectious Diseases at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador.
Furthermore, I am actively engaged in research, currently pursuing my Ph.D. in infection biology and microbiology at the University of Jena. My diverse experience and ongoing academic pursuits enable me to provide a comprehensive and up-to-date perspective in the fields of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases.
