Savanah Russ, MPH is a 4th year PhD candidate in the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry. She is currently a student research assistant at the Rochester, NY Emerging Infections Program at the Center for Community Health and Prevention at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Here, she works on a collaborative, multi-site project aimed at determining real-world COVID-19 vaccine effectiveness among healthcare personnel. Previously, she received her BA in Biology from SUNY Geneseo (’16), and her MPH in Epidemiology of Microbial Disease with a concentration in Public Health Modeling from the Yale School of Public Health (’19). Her research interests surround disparate adult vaccine uptake as well as reasons for vaccine hesitancy, both with the HPV vaccine and subsequently the COVID-19 vaccines.
