Michael Tang completed his undergraduate degree at the Ohio State University in Biochemistry. He then attended medical school and Internal Medicine Residency at Washington University School of Medicine/Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri moving to UC San Diego for his Infectious Diseases Fellowship. During fellowship, he focused on projects related to methods for estimating HIV incidence and COVID-19 outcomes in people living with HIV under care at UC San Diego. He is now an Associate Physician in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Global Public Health, and primarily works in the hospital seeing consultations for general and immunocompromised patients with infectious disease problems.
