Stephanie completed her Clinical Infectious Diseases fellowship at UT Houston MD Anderson Cancer in 2022, after which she completed an additional research year in the T32 Training Program in Antimicrobial Resistance at Houston Methodist Research Institute under the mentorship of Dr. William R. Miller. She recently joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, OR. Here, she continues to investigate mechanisms of Pseudomonas aerugionosa resistance under the senior mentorship of Drs. Morgan Hakki, William R. Miller, and Cesar A. Arias. Her interests in Pseudomonas aeruginosa lie particularly in the behavior of biofilms, resistance mechanisms contributing to novel beta-lactam treatment failures, and host factors that mediate Gram-negative resistance.
