Dr. Haley earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia, then received her Medical Degree, Masters in Public Health, and training in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt University. Since 2001, Dr. Haley has worked in the field of tuberculosis, serving first as Medical Director and then as Director of TB Research at Tennessee’s TB Elimination Program, collaborating with state and local health departments, the CDC and Vanderbilt. She later worked at Vanderbilt’s Institute of Global Health, partnering with the World Health Organization to study the successes and challenges contributing to child mortality in Africa.
Since 2013, Dr. Haley has worked for the Southeastern National TB Center at the University of Florida where she provides expert medical consultation, training and education to enhance patient care and build public health capacity. She is passionate about translating research into practice and promoting best practices for managing patients with TB disease and infection.
