Dr. Jonathan Grein is an infectious disease physician and Director of Hospital Epidemiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He received his medical degree from the UCLA. He completed his medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and his infectious diseases fellowship at the UCLA-Affiliated Program in Infectious Diseases. He is an Associate Clinical Professor with the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and co-chair of the Infection Prevention and Control Committee and Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee.
Dr Grein oversees the Special Pathogens program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and is the co-Principal Investigator for the Department of Health and Human Services grant establishing Cedars-Sinai as one of 13 national Ebola and Special Pathogens centers. He also attends on the clinical ID teaching service, and through his involvement in the Special Pathogens program was among the first physicians to use remdesivir for COVID-19 and tecovirimat for monkeypox.
