Dr. Cojutti is an MD clinical pharmacologist and assistant professor at University of Bologna, Italy. After graduating in medicine in 2006, he took a residency and later a PhD in clinical pharmacology at University of Udine. Then, he was post-doc at University of Liverpool, UK, under the supervision of prof. William Hope, where he learned the principles for conducting population pharmacokinetics analysis. In 2018 he come back Italy where he started a career as clinical pharmacology consultant for optimizing antimicrobial therapies in critically ill and/or severe patients at University-Hospital of Udine and, from 2021 at University of Bologna. His research activity is focused on quantitative pharmacology of anti-infective drugs. He currently develops population pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic models aimed at investigating the adequacy of different dosing regimens in special populations including critically ill patients, hematologic patients, elderly, obeses and children. He is the author of more than 90 papers published in peer-reviewed international journals for a total of 1500 citations.
