Barbara Kazmierczak is a Professor of Medicine (Infectious Diseases) and Microbial Pathogenesis at Yale School of Medicine. Her laboratory focuses on virulence mechanisms of Gram-negative bacterial pathogens and their recognition by the innate immune system, with a particular interest in Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Dr. Kazmierczak is a fellow of the American Academy of Microbiology, a member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation and fellow of the IDSA.
