Dr. Hanine El Haddad is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the division of infectious diseases and geographic medicine at UT southwestern in Dallas, Texas.
She completed an immunocomprmised infectious diseases fellowship at Baylor College of medicine where she gained expertise in infections in cancer patients at MD Anderson Cancer Center and and solid organ transplant recipients at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center.
She joined the infectious diseases division at the university of Kentucky where she built a dedicated immunocompromised ID service. She took particular interest in infection prevention and control and served as medical director for the division of infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship from 2020-2023 before joining UT southwestern in September 2023 as transplant ID faculty and associate director for infection prevention and control where she focuses her practice on infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship in recipients of cellular therapies and solid organ transplants.
She has been involved in research and quality improvement related to device related infections including percutaneous nephrostomy tube infections.
