Dr. Alison Rapoport is an Infectious Diseases specialist at the Cambridge Health Alliance and an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. A native of New York City, Dr. Rapoport received her bachelor's degree in Religious Studies from Pomona College in Claremont, CA before returning home to attended medical school at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She then moved to the Boston area, completing her Internal Medicine residency as well as chief resident year at the Cambridge Health Alliance, followed by clinical and research fellowships in Infectious Diseases at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She has long standing interest in medical education and currently serves as Associate Site Director for the Interviewing & Communication Skills Course at Harvard Medical School. Her research and advocacy efforts address the intersections between addiction and infectious diseases.
