Kaede Ota Sullivan is a board-certified infectious diseases specialist and medical microbiologist. She is Professor and Director of Faculty Affairs in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and Associate Director of the Microbiology & Immunology Laboratories with the Temple University Health System. She received her Doctor of Medicine at McMaster University in Canada and an MBA from Temple University. She has served on a number of national committees including the SHEA Diagnostic Stewardship Task Force, the HICPAC NHSN Surveillance Workgroup, and the College of American Pathologists’ Microbiology Committee. Her research focuses on optimization of microbiology laboratory procedures that impact infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives.
