Prof. Hong Sang Oh is an infectious disease physician and researcher. He served 21 years in the Army and retired as a colonel. Now he works at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital since 2023. He has been working as an infectious diseases specialist for more than ten years. He is interested in responding to emerging infectious diseases and infection control and hospital epidemiology as well as antibiotic stewardship program. As a researcher, he has conducted a lot of studies regarding clinical infectious diseases (eg. malaria, SFTS, HFRS, MERS, COVID-19). He is an active member of the Korean Society of Infectious Diseases, the Korean Society for Antimicrobial Therapy, and the Korean Society for Healthcare-associated Infection Control and Prevention.
