Xuedan You, MD, PhD is the Principal Scientist in V&I Outcomes Research at Merck. Xuedan You has over 20 years of experience in public health, epidemiology, health economics and outcomes research, with nearly a decade focused on vaccines and vaccine-preventable diseases, including the National Immunization Program policy development and implementation, vaccine-preventable disease burden research and surveillance, vaccine effectiveness and safety studies. She has a diverse background that spans both government and non-government public health agencies, academic research institutions, and multinational pharmaceutical companies. Earlier in her career, Xuedan served as a Resident Physician in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Peking University People’s Hospital. She holds a PhD in Public Health from The University of Tokyo, Japan, as well as a Master's degree in Gynecology & Obstetrics and a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Medicine from Norman Bethune Medical University, China.
