Dr. Raghuram is a dual board certified Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases physician employed as a Vaccines Global Medical Director with Pfizer.
She received her MD from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, Brazil. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, NY and her Infectious Diseases Fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center, NY. She later joined the University of Louisville (UoL) Division of Infectious Diseases as an Assistant then Associate Professor of Medicine. She directed a large federally funded outpatient center for HIV care; initiated a PrEP program for HIV prevention; served as an Associate ID Fellowship Program Director and was the travel and vaccine clinic medical liaison. She has authored several peer reviewed articles in the areas of HIV, vaccines, and community and hospital acquired pneumonia. Prior to joining Pfizer, Dr. Raghuram transitioned from her academic role to a field Medical Affairs Director position with Merck’s Virology Division. She continues to volunteer clinical time at UoL as a gratis Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine.
