Rehab Abdelfattah, MD, MPH is currently serving as a clinical consultant with the Healthcare-Associated Infections and Antimicrobial Resistant (HAI/AR) program in the division of Clinical Epidemiology (DCE) with the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and has been in her position for more than 5 years. Her current job involves clinical HAI investigations in all types of healthcare settings and she leads the VDH regional infection prevention and control program. Before joining VDH, Rehab was a hospital epidemiologist in a big acute care hospital for more than 4 years. She received her medical degree from the University of Alexandria Medical School and her MPH from the School of Public Health and Information Sciences, University of Louisville. Rehab enjoys spending some quality time with her three daughters and baking.
