Alyse Wheelock, MD: I am T32 postdoctoral research fellow and board-certified infectious diseases physician at Boston University Medical Center. My research interests include Chagas disease, other infectious diseases affecting refugee/immigrant/migrant populations, and global respiratory infection epidemiology. My current research mentored by Dr. Chris Gill is examining the molecular epidemiology of fatal community pneumonia due to Klebsiella pneumoniae among infants and children in Lusaka, Zambia. I work with trainees of all levels on the inpatient Infectious Disease consult service and provide refugee health assessments at Boston Medical Center's Immigrant and Refugee Health Center.
