Edward Cachay MD, MAS ─ Professor of Medicine
I joined the University of California, San Diego, in 2001. After completing my residency in internal medicine, a fellowship in Infectious Diseases, and a Masters's in Advanced Studies, I joined UCSD faculty working in the HIV Owen Clinic in 2007. I have dedicated my professional career to advance the care of persons living with HIV in my roles as a clinician, educator, researcher, and mentor. As a Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Global Public Health, I endeavor to enhance our professional society's mission and make a positive difference fostering inclusion and diversity of ideas as the source to promote good science and equality for those we serve.
