Paul Pottinger MD, DTM&H, FACP, FIDSA specializes in General Adult ID and Antimicrobial Stewardship at the University of Washington in Seattle. He directs the UW Medical Center Montlake General ID Clinical Section, and sees patients in ID clinic. Medical educaiton is one of Paul's main passions: He is actively engaged in the training of ID fellows, and served for 14 yeaers as Associate Fellowship Director and then Director. He would love to talk with aspiring ID doctors about their career pathway choices! He is proud to volunteer with IDSA's Public Policy & Advocacy Committee, serves on the IDWeek Program Committee, and has chaired the IDSA Education Committee. He is also trained in Tropical Medicine, and teaches parasitology. He co-produces the Germ & Worm Travel Health Podcast. Mountaineering is his hobby.
