I am Moritz Platzer, an MD based in Vienna, Austria, working at the Department of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine, Klinik Favoriten, a historically significant center for infectious diseases in the city. My residency in infectious diseases and internal medicine began during the COVID-19 pandemic, where my primary focus was on caring for hospitalized COVID-19 patients and conducting research for new therapies against the virus. Currently, my work and interest concentrates on providing infectious disease consultations, providing therapies for infections in immunocompromised patients, and working in vaccination medicine.
