LCDR Laura Quilter, MD, MPH is a medical epidemiologist on the Clinical Team within the Division of STD Prevention at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). She joined CDC and the US Public Health Service as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer within the Division of STD Prevention in 2017. Prior to her arrival at CDC, LCDR Quilter completed her infectious diseases fellowship and received her Master of Public Health in Global Health at the University of Washington and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Her research interests include STD epidemiology, surveillance of antimicrobial resistant Neisseria gonorrhoeae, disseminated gonococcal infections, and neurosyphilis.
