Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer

Dr. Sarah Wondmeneh earned her MD and MPH at Washington University in St. Louis, before completing residency and chief residency in internal medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She currently serves as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer in CDC's Division of STD Prevention where she works on a wide variety of STD-related projects. Dr. Wondmeneh has a long-held passion for improving health equity, with a particular interest in working with people and communities disproportionately impacted by poor health and disease.
