Dr. Wonhee So earned her B.S. in pharmacy from Seoul National University and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Florida. Since her pharmacy career started at Seoul National University Hospital in 2000, she had a variety of work experience in the US. Nine years after working for a community pharmacy or an outpatient setting clinic, she transitioned into inpatient clinical pharmacist role after training at University of FL, followed by PGY1 residency at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL and Infectious Diseases Fellowship training at Hartford Hospital, Hartford, CT. She then worked as an infectious diseases/antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist at Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, FL. Right before joining WesternU, she served as an assistant professor at Long Island University, Brooklyn, NY and infectious diseases pharmacy manager at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center, New York, NY. Dr So’s research interest includes antimicrobial resistance, antimicrobial stewardship, infections in the immunocompromised hosts, and antimicrobial pharmacokinetics/dynamics.
