Kensuke Shoji, MD, PhD, is a pediatrician and pediatric infectious diseases doctor at the National Center for Child Health and Development (NCCHD), Tokyo, Japan. He graduated from Miyazaki University School of Medicine, Japan in 2005. He worked as a medical intern at the National Hospital Organization Tokyo Medical Center, Tokyo, Japan (2005-2006), pediatric resident (2007-2009), and infectious disease fellow (2010-2011) at the NCCHD. He is currently the Chief of the Infectious Diseases Division at the NCCHD. He also worked as a visiting scholar, Division of Pharmacology and Drug Discovery, Department of Pediatrics, University of California, San Diego, USA (2013-2016). His research interests include antimicrobial pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics in children, COVID-19 in children and pregnant women, infections in the immunocompromised host, and vaccines.
