My name is Melissa Karau, CLS, MS, and I am a Prinicpal Technologist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. I have been working in the Infectious Diseases Research Laboratory for 19 years under Dr. Robin Patel. I study antimicrobial resistance, prosthetic joint infections, staphylococcal biofilms, novel treatment models and have developed numerous animal models to study orthopedic infections.
