Dr. Haitham Alatihan is a distinguished physician specializing in infectious diseases with a focus on transplant and oncology-related infections. He graduated with honors from Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, Saudi Arabia, demonstrating early academic excellence. Pursuing further specialization, Dr. Alatihan completed his residency in Internal Medicine at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the prestigious national honor medical society, in recognition of his exceptional clinical skills and academic performance.
Following residency, Dr. Alatihan undertook a fellowship in General Infectious Diseases at Baylor College of Medicine, where he further expanded his expertise in diagnosing and managing complex infectious conditions. Currently, he is deepening his specialization as a fellow in Transplant and Oncology Infectious Diseases at Houston Methodist Hospital. Here, he is actively involved in managing challenging cases involving immunocompromised patients, with particular interest in infections complicating organ transplantation and cancer therapies.
