QinQin Yu, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. Her research interests are in pathogen evolution and epidemiology, wastewater-based epidemiology, and equity in public health. Her research assesses equity in disease surveillance methods and investigates how host immune memory shapes pathogen evolution and spread. She completed her PhD at UC Berkeley in biophysics studying evolution in microbial biofilms and transmission dynamics of SARS-CoV-2. She has experience in science policy, international development, education, and public engagement in the U.S. and Rwanda.
