Alana Pinheiro Alves, MD, is a third-year resident physician in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. She earned her medical degree from the Universidade Federal do Para in Belem, Brazil. Alana has a great interest in Infectious Diseases, especially in the HIV/AIDS and global health fields. She aims to assist the underserved and minimize health disparities. In her free time, Alana enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, two cats, and dog.
