Dr. Isabella Martin is a pathologist with subspecialty training in both medical microbiology and transfusion medicine. She received her medical degree from the University of Vermont, completed an anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Dartmouth Health followed by microbiology fellowship at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutes. She is currently the Medical Director of the Microbiology Laboratory at Dartmouth Health and is an Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. She is passionate about improving patient care through high-quality laboratory services and enjoys teaching clinical microbiology to learners of all levels. She has served on the College of American Pathologists’ Microbiology Committee. Her research interests include test utilization and the impact of novel diagnostic methods on clinical care.
