Dr. Iovleva's research is dedicated to understanding antimicrobial resistance mechanisms and contemporary genomic epidemiology in drug-resistant gram-negative pathogens. Presently, her primary research focus lies in the studying of Carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii, with a particular emphasis on antimicrobial resistance to emerging antibiotics. Her long-term objective is to translate this knowledge into innovative diagnostics and treatments, ultimately improving clinical outcomes for these challenging infections.
