Catessa Howard, PharmD, BCIDP is the Lead Antimicrobial Stewardship Clinical Pharmacy Specialist and the vice chair of the enterprise Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee for the WVU Medicine system. Her practice site is at the WVU Hospitals where she practices in antimicrobial stewardship, outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy, and complex oral outpatient antimicrobial therapy. Catessa completed her PharmD at West Virginia University in 2017. She subsequently completed her PGY-1 pharmacy residency at Indiana University Health in Indianapolis, IN and her PGY-2 Infectious Diseases residency at WVU Medicine. Her main interests include antimicrobial stewardship, HIV prevention, and improving the healthcare of people living in the Mountain State and our neighbors.
