Daniel Gore MD is a current internal medicine PGY3 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) with a passion for LGBTQ health, HIV/STI research, public health/ policy, and epidemiology. Prior to starting medical school, he worked at the University of Chicago's Center for HIV Elimination where he staffed drop-in programs for LGBTQ youth, ran the PrEP hotline to answer caller questions on PrEP, and he conducted research on HIV partner services and phylogenetic analysis. During medical school, he co-founded SCREEN, a program that launched social determinant of health screening in outpatient primary care practices in Chicago. Dr. Gore later served as a visiting scholar at the Robert Graham Center, where he analyzed the benefits and limitations of various healthcare models including single-payer systems. At Beth Israel, his current research focuses on anal cytology screening practices at Beth Israel-Lahey affiliated sites.
