Dr. Anastasia Aksyuk is currently a Director in Translational Medicine within the Vaccines and Immune Therapies Unit at AstraZeneca, Gaithersburg, USA. Anastasia received her PhD in biophysics from Purdue University and completed her postdoctoral training in structural virology at NIH before moving to industry. Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Anastasia worked in biotech, leading multiple teams developing serology and biomarker assays for a variety of clinical applications. From the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Anastasia has been part of the AstraZeneca Translational Medicine group that worked at the forefront of developing vaccines and monoclonal antibodies against respiratory viruses, including SARS-CoV-2 and RSV.
