Associate Scientist

I am a Public Health Epidemiologist by training. I have a degree in Social Science, a degree in Gender studies, and an MPH in Epidemiology with more than 15 years of experience, specializing in public health and health systems research and evaluation with application in program planning and policy formulation. Currently, I am working as Associate Scientist at the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b), and Associate Professor (part-time) at the department of public health Daffodil International University, Bangladesh. I have completed post-graduate courses on international health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. My expertise and experiences include; infection prevention and control, healthcare worker protection, antimicrobial resistance, WASH, capacity building, training and development, and health system strengthening. I am a member of different national and international infection control and AMR alliances and contribute toward infection control in hospital settings and recently contributed to developing Bangladesh National IPC guidelines for hospital settings and COVID-19 Infection Control and management. I have attended around 40 international and national conferences to present study findings related to public health and published 34 articles on public health issues in international peer-reviewed journals.
