Siyang Peng is Director of Health Economics and Outcome Research at Illumina. At Illumina, she led significant efforts to generate economic models and evidence of economic utility, and clinical and economic evidence synthesis across clinical applications, including: oncological genomic panel, WGS in genetic disease and oncology, non-invasive prenatal test, genetic tests for early pregnancy loss, pharmacogenomics and genetic test for infectious disease diagnosis.
Siyang joins Illumina from Evidera, Inc, one of the preeminent providers of HEOR services in the world—and has 10 years of experience in health economics, real-world evidence generation, health technology assessment (HTA) submission, and market access strategy.
Siyang is a subject matter expert in designing and leading health economic and pharmacoepidemiologic studies (e.g., cost-effectiveness and budget impact analyses) as well as real-world evidence studies. In her most recent role as project lead and primary investigator, she focused on scientific leadership and innovation, creating strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical and medical device companies to develop the clinical and economic value stories for novel technologies, and supporting the global market access and reimbursement initiatives. In addition to leading HEOR studies, Siyang has led strategic consultation for market access and global HTA submissions (in UK, France, Belgium, Canada, and other countries) for several blockbuster drugs in the areas of prostate cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, hematological cancers, cardiovascular disease and infectious disease.
Siyang has co-authored 15 peer-reviewed publications in journals such as the Blood, Current Medical Research and Opinion, PharmacoEconomics, Thrombosis and Homeostasis, and Journal of Medical Economics, and has authored numerous abstracts presented at conferences such as ISPOR, AHA, and ASCO.
Siyang holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, a Master’s degree in Molecular Physiology from the Tufts University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine from the Peking University, Beijing, China.
