Kritos Vasiloudes, MD is a 3rd year internal Medicine Resident at Largo Medical Center. He is originally from Germany and has spent the last 25 years in South Florida. Kritos did his undergraduate degree in Biology and History at the University of Miami, where he did research in developmental biology and DNA methylation. Kritos received his M.D. at the University of South Florida where he developed an interest in ID during his clinical years, and during his time on Bone Marrow Transplant unit at Moffitt Cancer Center.
Kritos then went to Largo Medical Center for his residency training. During his time there Kritos worked closely with solid organ transplant recipients, this encouraged him to get involved in research with infections in the immunocompromised, and subsequently he has produced several publications in this field. Kritos has also been involved in antibiotic stewardship, contributing to national trials, and improving diagnostic and prescribing practices in UTI. He is currently applying for infectious disease fellowship where he hopes to take the next stpe in his career. His interests include Infectious Disease in the immunocompromised, Transplant Infectious Diseases, and respiratory infections. In his free time Kritos enjoys Latin dance, cooking, History, and yoga.
