Medical Student
Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar
Safah Khan is a fourth-year medical student at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar and aspiring internist with specific interests in Infectious Disease and Global Health. Her primary area of research has been to characterize the cardiovascular health profiles of ART-Naive People Living With HIV (PLWH) in Tanzania and thus identify suitable targets for primary preventative efforts. In the future, she hopes to build on these studies by characterizing the cardiovascular health profiles of PLWH after the initiation of antiretroviral therapy; in this way she hopes to evaluate the longitudinal effects of antiretroviral therapy on cardiovascular health profiles.
