Cameron is an Associate Professor of Medicine, in the Immunocompromised Host Infectious Disease Section at Duke University. He completed training in both Australia and the US, before joining the faculty and has clinical responsibilities split between HIV and Transplant Infectious Disease. Cameron has research interests in the treatment of respiratory viral pathogens in the immunosuppressed, as well as HIV transplantation, and directs the hospital and university response to emerging outbreaks and biothreats, ranging from Ebola to Covid19. He is the former chair of the UNOS Disease Transmission Advisory committee, and an At-Large member of the UNOS/OPTN Board of Directors.
