Dr. Lavoie received his PharmD from MCPHS University in Boston in 2019 and is now an assistant professor at the University of Rhode Island and a Clinical Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy Specialist at the Providence VA Medical Center. His current interests include continued progression of the pharmacists’ role in healthcare, antimicrobial synergy, carbapenem-resistant Gram-negative infections, and overcoming bacterial resistance.
