I am Dr. Kaamil Zubair Rabbani A, a registrar in the department of Internal Medicine at KIMSHEALTH, Thiruvananthapuram, India - a 1000 bedded tertiary care centre. I have completed Stage I Internal Medicine training in a JRCPTB (Joint Royal Colleges of Physicians Training Board, United Kingdom) accredited programme during which I have gained invaluable experience in various departments including Infectious Diseases, Rheumatology, Haematology, Cardiology, Neurology, Emergency Medicine, Endocrinology, Critical care medicine and Respiratory Medicine. I have completed MRCP (UK) examinations from the Royal College of Physicians, London, United Kingdom.
My sub-specialty interests include Rheumatology, Haematology and Infectious Diseases.
I am an effective communicator, a keen learner, who understands the significance of working in a team of healthcare professionals with varied backgrounds and experiences. I am a detail oriented physician with a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes, delivery of quality patient care and need for constant improvement in this regard. I have been a part of multiple quality improvement projects at our hospital, have done presentations at National Conferences and have been an organising secretary for the local conferences.
I appreciate the concept of holistic care of patients, have helped develop wellness programmes in our hospital that are focussed on the overall well-being of the patients. I have been entrusted various responsibilities and have demonstrated leadership skills, being involved in the training programme for the Internal Medicine post graduate trainees as well as in conducting the Royal College examinations at our hospital. I strive to continuously improve and stay up-to-date with the latest guidelines, innovations and research in the medical field which could benefit my practice and help improve patient outcome.
