Elizabeth received her PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill studying HIV viral diversity and neutralizing antibody selection during mother-to-child transmission. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Harvard AIDS Institue and the Botswana-Harvard Partnership, also completing an MSc in Epideimology, followed by Epidemic Intelligence Service training with CDC. Her subsequent roles as a technical advisor included time with Population Services International and the Research Division of OHA/USAID. She currently works as an epidemiologist for Merck.
