Dr. Samuel L. Aitken, PharmD, MPH, BCIDP is a Clincal Pharmacist Specialist and Adjunct Clinical Professor in Infectious Diseases at Michigan Medicine. His research focuses on the characterization of multidrug resistant infections in patients with cancer, particularly those with leukemia, incorporating whole-genome sequencing and clinical data to understand both the scope and impact of resistance in this vulnerable population. Dr. Aitken is the past president of the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists (SIDP).
