Medical Student
Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Mexico
I’m Leopoldo Trujillo medical student making my social service in the Travelers Clinic in Mexico City. I’ve always been interested in human body and the ways that our environment alter the normal function of our systems. At my first year of medical school I had the chance to represent my country in the IQMU (International Quiz for Medical Undergraduates) that took place in
Kasturba Medical College in India where me and my fourth mates won the fourth place worldwide. After the IQMU, I had the opportunity to do a clinical rotation in the department of cardio-thoracic surgery in Motol Hospital in Czech Republic, where I learned and had the chance to practice and to apply my knowledge of the cardiovascular system. I have been focusing my attention in infectious disease since COVID 19 appeared and started to produce such an impact in the world that my curiosity started to grow so in a future can be able to be an infectious disease researcher. Nowadays planning to present the steps so I can have more chances in the USA to grow in the research world.
