Data Steward - Epidemiologist

Dr. Dipen M Patel is a stewardship epidemiologist with the Healthcare-Associated Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance (HAI/AR) Program at the Tennessee Department of Health. He received his Bachelor of Medicine Degree from Gujarat, INDIA. He received his Master’s in Public Health Degree from California State University, San Marcos in 2020. After graduating with an MPH, he served for the Orange County Department of Public Health, CA, as a COVID-19 investigator and Epidemiologist. He also received a Master’s in Project Management at the University of Cumberlands, KY, in 2023. His work at the Tennessee Department of Health is to analyze Antimicrobial Use and Resistance data from the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN), assist in the Multi-site Gram-negative Surveillance Initiative (MUGSI) program, assist in the outbreak team, and investigate injectable Drug Diversion Cases.
