Imrul Shahriar is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Chemistry at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. He is working on the development of antiviral immunotherapies with Professor Philip S Low, with a primary focus on creating effective therapeutic strategies to combat viral infections caused by influenza and other enveloped viruses. Imrul's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He received the prestigious Ross Fellowship from Purdue Graduate School to pursue his doctoral studies. Complementing his academic pursuits, Imrul also plays an integral role in Eradivir Inc., a startup founded by Dr. Low. Through this engagement, he actively contributes to translating laboratory discoveries into tangible antiviral solutions for patients. He contributed to the publication of twelve journal articles and one US patent so far. With a forward-looking perspective, Imrul aspires to contribute to therapeutic discovery and development leadership with a vision to guide innovations from their inception to real-world implementation. In doing so, he aims to foster a more seamless connection between academic insights and practical medical interventions.
