Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist

Renata Boatwright, PharmD, ASP-SIDP, MBAc has served as an Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist for over 10 years. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Georgia College of Pharmacy in 2013. Dr. Boatwright completed an Antimicrobial Stewardship certification program through the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists. She is now pursuing a Master in Business Administration through Louisiana State University Shreveport. Recently, she coordinated for the Jackson South Medical Center Antimicrobial Stewardship Program to receive the designation as an IDSA Center of Excellence. Dr. Boatwright has presented posters at many conferences, including the 2018 MAD-ID conference, and published via the BMC Infectious Disease Journal and the Disaster Medicine and Public Health Preparedness Journal. Additionally, Dr. Boatwright has helped to develop several protocols for the health system, particularly during COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Boatwright enjoys precepting pharmacy students and pharmacy residents. In her free time, Dr. Boatwright loves to travel, cook, and spend time with her family.
