I was born in New York City to immigrant parents from Romania who fled communism and am the eldest of seven. I grew up in New York, England and Connecticut. I went to Lafayette College where I majored in German and minored in French. Prior to my medical training, I was able to work at the WHO for the Bulletin in Switzerland, The Children's Surgical Center in Cambodia, and take part in a mission trip with Global Effect in the Dominican Republic. I went to medical school at St. George University in Grenada, completed my residency at Broward Health Medical Center in Florida and am currently in my pediatric infectious disease fellowship. I have a varied spectrum of research, but currently, I am focused on congenital infections, specifically syphilis. My hobbies include being a premier league fanatic, crick enthusiast, board game aficionado, and learning foreign languages. I recently married my wife and we have a French bulldog together.
