Dr. Somani is ABIM board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and is currently working at National University Hospital in Singpaore. She is a Senior Consultant with the Division of Infectious Diseases, and is the Director of the NUH ASP program, and also the Director of NUH Hospital Epidemiology and the Chair of the NUH Infection Control Committee.
Dr. Somani is from the US and completed medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and Internship and Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Chicago and her Infectious Disease Fellowship training at Emory University Division of Infectious Diseases. She was Assistant Professor at Emory University from 2000-2008.
She has also worked in private practice in the US from 2008-2012, and has been living and working overseas since 2012.
