Dr. Leung is a staff physician at the Cleveland Clinic Akron General and Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. Prior to joining the Cleveland Clinic, he worked as a staff physician at Summa Health in Akron, Ohio. Dr. Leung is board certified in Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, and Medical Microbiology. He has been actively involved in medical education in his career and is a professor in internal medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University; and a clinical assistant professor at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.
Dr. Leung obtained his undergraduate degree in microbiology from Washington State University; and medical degree from Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine. His post-graduate medical education was completed at the Cleveland Clinic from 2000 to 2006.
Dr. Leung also served as the infection control director from 2015 to 2021 at the Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center in Akron, Ohio. In addition he has been involved with the American Board of Internal Medicine as an item-writer for infectious disease board examination; and the American Board of Pathology Certlink section for medical microbiology. He currently serves on the approval committee for the longitudinal knowledge assessment program at ABIM.
During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, tending to his yard, and cooking.
