Dr. Cristina Cardemil, MD, MPH, FAAP is a medical officer and epidemiologist at NIH/NIAID with research and programmatic expertise in infectious diseases and immunizations in domestic and international settings. She has served as the lead PI or co-investigator on over 40 studies researching vaccines and guidelines for multiple pathogens including SARS-CoV-2, norovirus, mumps, polio and measles to inform national/global recommendations for children, adults, and pregnant populations. She obtained her undergraduate degree at Swarthmore College, MD at the University of Pennsylvania, MPH at Johns Hopkins, EIS fellowship at CDC and currently provides care to patients at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
