Post-doctoral fellow
University of British Columbia, Canada
Dr. Gabrielle Gaultier completed her PhD in the Biotechnology program at Lakehead University in October 2020 under the supervision of Dr. Marina Ulanova. Her PhD projects investigated humoral immune responses to the 13-valent pneumococcal protein-polysaccharide conjugate vaccine in adults with severe chronic kidney disease as well as naturally acquired humoral immunity against Haemophilus influenzae type a, and Streptococcus pneumoniae in Indigenous and Non-Indigenous adults. Gabrielle joined Dr. Manish Sadarangani’s lab at the Vaccine Evaluation Center, University of British Columbia in April 2021 where her research focuses on the immunological analysis of infectious diseases for the purpose of vaccine development and evaluation, with a particular emphasis on SARS-CoV-2. She will be presenting data from two studies at ID week 2023; the ‘PRospEctiVe EvaluatioN of immuniTy after COVID-19 vaccines’ (PREVENT-COVID) study and the Severe acute respiratory syndrome-related coronavirus 2 prevalence in children and young adults in British Columbia (SPRING) sub-study. Both studies aim to quantify humoral immune responses to COVID-19 vaccination.
